July 15 – Position advertised and promoted by HYA

August 18 to September 12 – Online survey open for community and stakeholder input

Late August to early September – Focus groups and interviews conducted with key constituent groups

Week of October 22 – Board reviews applicants and selects semi-finalists

Week of November 3 – Board interviews semi-finalists and identifies finalists

Week of December 1 – Finalist interviews and superintendent selection

Week of December 8 – Contract negotiations

Week of December 15 – Targeted announcement of new superintendent

PD (Professional Development) Wednesdays

District 204 adjusts the starting time for students every Wednesday morning. On Wednesdays, the start of the school day will be adjusted by 10 minutes each Wednesday morning. Every Wednesday, the school day will begin at 9:15 am. This block of time is set aside for teachers to collaboratively work on improving student learning and benefits our students by providing school-wide professional development opportunities for our teachers.
